Euro 2012 Qualifying Group G
With the Euro 2012 Qualifying Campaign upon us, it's finally time for the England football team to put the World Cup 2010 saga behind them, and focus on succeeding in the Euro 2012 Championships with this opening qualifier match against Bulgaria.
The weekend has not been kind to an England football team trying to put the disastrous last few months behind them.
Heading into this opening qualifying match, the Three Lions have lost John Terry, Frank Lampard, Bobby Zamora over the weekend due to injury.
England will also have to face Bulgaria without Rio Ferdinand, with the Man Utd defender still out with a long-term knee injury.
Fabio Capello has called in some old faces for this upcoming match, with the likes of Scott Carson and Joleon Lescott returning after a sustained absence.
The two are joined by others players who were overlooked by Capello in England's friendly victory over Hungary, whilst there were no major surprises in the squad announced by the Italian on Sunday.
England football team to face Bulgaria:
Goalkeepers: Scott Carson, Ben Foster, Joe Hart
Defenders: Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Kieran Gibbs, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Matthew Upson
Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Steven Gerrard, Adam Johnson, James Milner, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young
Forwards: Darren Bent, Carlton Cole, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney

Bulgaria failed to qualifying for the World Cup in South Africa, finishing third in Group Eight, featuring with the likes of Italy and Ireland.
With Aston Villa midfield Stiliyan Petrov at the helm as captain, manager Stanimir Stoilov will be hopeful that his team can mount a legitimate challenge for a place in Euro 2012, if not in this England - Bulgaria match.
The two teams last met in the Euro 2000 Qualifying group, with Bulgaria managing to grab a 0-0 draw at Wembley and a 1-1 result at home.
As always, this is an England side that looks strong on paper, but whether this translates into results is a different question.
With Wayne Rooney suffering a recent goal drought, it'll be up to some of the other attacking players to fill the void for the Man Utd forward.
However, this could be the perfect time for England's start striker to end his goalless streak and find the kind of form that will put England back as one of the favourites to take the tournament in 2012.
England - Bulgaria prediction: England 2 – Bulgaria 1
