Matic also looked sharp in the centre of Chelsea’s midfield. Even Fabio Borini came on to claim his second appearance for the club this season. The Italian striker came on with ten minutes remaining and showed signs of life when the game was already well beyond Wolves.

After the walk-over against the Wolves, Ancelotti will likely field a stronger side for this Chelsea vs Porto Champions League clash.

Porto will play host to Chelsea at the Dragao Stadium on Wednesday night to likely determine the winner of Group D.

Both teams are already through to the knockout stage after dismantling Apoel Nicosia and Atletico Madrid. All that remains to be seen is whether Porto or Chelsea will claim first in the group.

Chelsea won the first meeting at Stamford Brige by 1-0, courtesy of a Nicolas Anelka goal just after halftime.

The game was tight and very entertaining, as should be the case on Wednesday.
