Real Madrid have started the 2009/10 La Liga season with two wins from two matches played.
They followed up the first two league victories with a 5-2 thumping of Zurich in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who was rested for the majority of the 3-0 victory over Espanyol on Saturday (though, even then he found his way onto the scoresheet), returned to the starting eleven to bang two more past Zurich.
Ronaldo has now scored in all of his competitive matches for Real Madrid bringing his goal tally to four goals in three matches for Los Blancos.
Madrid raced out to an early 3-0 lead against Zurich, only to find their lead cut to 3-2 in the span of two minutes. After a few nervous moments, Real were able to restore their dominance and finish the Swiss team off, claiming a 5-2 victory.
The match was dominated by the Spanish giants, although the complacency Real Madrid displayed to allow the match to get within reach for Zurich is a growing concern.
Manuel Pellegrini has a squad that is so overwhelmingly dominant, that they are expected to walk away 5-0 winners from nearly every match. This is never the case in football, however, and Pellegrini will have to keep his men focused if Real are to achieve their goals.

Newcomers, Xerez, who are enjoying their first season in the Spanish Primera Division since their foundation in 1947, will come into the Bernabeu with a nightmare of a task ahead of them.
Jose Angel Ziganda's men make the trip to Madrid having lost their first two matches, 2-0 to Mallorca and 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao.
Ziganda's side consists largely of on-loan players. In fact, all of eleven players in the squad have been loaned in from other clubs.
Momo, Antonito and Mario Bermejo, who collectively netted 42 goals for Xerez en route to their promotion, will be called upon largely to continue the good form which they displayed in the Segunda Division if Xerez are to avoid the drop this season.
Emiliano Armenteros, on loan from Sevilla, started last match as the target man for Xerez, while Antonito was reserved to the bench for the second straight match. Antonio may get his first start of the new season as Ziganda's men are yet to find the back of the net.

This should be a walk in the park. Real Madrid will likely rest a number of players after a busy week, but should still win easily.
Expect lots of goals.
