Hull defeated Newcastle 2-1 at St James' Park earlier this season, and being Hull's first season in the Premier League, there was no Hull vs Newcastle fixture last season.
Both teams are on a poor run of form currently, with Hull only four points clear of the relegation zone whilst Newcastle are only clear of it on goal difference.
Hull's home advantage will not serve as much of an advantage at all in this match, with the Tigers currently holding the worst home record in the league.
As such, there is little to differentiate the teams in this fixture. Michael Owen's return from injury for this match could have the biggest impact if the striker puts in a good performance, but otherwise, there is little to separate these sides, and the match could go anyone's way.
