Manchester City are yet to concede a goal in the Premier League this season as they face Arsenal at the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday.
Mark Hughes will be happy having taken the maximum nine points from the first three games his club have played this season. He will also know that his side will have to be at their best to stay perfect.
Man City have controlled each of their first three matches this season but would probably feel their margin of victory could have been much larger in all of the three Premier League matches. And while 1-0 may be enough to beat Wolverhampton or Portsmouth, Hughes will come in knowing that one goal is often not enough to even get a point against Arsenal.
Joleon Lescott has joined from Everton after his long summer transfer saga came to its conclusion. He slotted into the back line for Hughes immediately as City won their most recent match away against Portsmouth 1-0.
One man who has been on form in front of goal is summer signing Emmanuel Adebayor. The former Arsenal player heads into the match having scored three of Manchester City’s goals in the league and will relish the opportunity to play his old club.
Carlos Tevez has been ruled out through a knee injury suffered in Argentina’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Brazil.
Kolo Toure has been appointed team captain after the departure of Richard Dunne to Aston Villa in late August.

Arsenal will be back in Manchester looking to rebound from their 2-1 defeat against Manchester United. This time, it will be Mark Hughes’ Manchester City trying to duplicate what Sir Alex Ferguson was able to accomplish a fortnight ago.
Arsenal will feel unlucky not to have taken anything from the match against United as they dictated play for large periods during the match but in the end walked away empty handed.
Andrei Arshavin gave Arsenal a deserved lead going into halftime after a wonderful strike found its way into the back of the United net. The lead, however, was short-lived as United equalised and then found a winner in the second half.
Unfortunately for the Gunners, Arshavin will miss this match and possibly another two after aggravating a groin injury playing for Russia.
Cesc Fabregas should return for Arsene Wenger to provide a giant boost to Arsenal’s midfield ahead of the trip to Manchester. The Spaniard was absent through injury against Manchester United as Arsenal lost their first match of the 2009/10 season.
Wenger, who was sent off late in the match against United, will be watching this one from the stands.
Johan Djourou will miss the next six months after undergoing knee surgery.

In last season's Man City vs Arsenal meetings, Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-0 at the City of Manchester Stadium, while Arsenal won the second fixture 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Saturday’s match could very well depend on how well City are able to cope with Arsenal’s pace and the midfield wizardry of Cesc Fabregas. If Gareth Barry and Stephen Ireland are able to find room to work while Man City’s defence remains solid, Hughes’ side have a decent shot at coming away with a win.
Adebayor could prove the difference and haunt his former club.
