A.S. Roma lost 1-0 at home against Arsenal in their last Champions League match, ending a run of three consecutive wins in Group A.
Roma have won four (two out of three away from home) and lost three (one away) of their seven Champions League matches so far. They have scored 12 goals (6 on their travels) and conceded 7 altogether (3 away from home) in this season’s competition and finished as winners of their group.
AS Roma will be without Daniele De Rossi due to suspension and Cicinho for the rest of the season due to injury.

Arsenal beat Roma 1-0 in the first leg Arsenal - Roma fixture in their last Champions League match. The Gunners have won six (four out of five at home) drawn two (one at home) and lost one of their eight matches on route to this encoutner.
Arsenal have found the back of the net 18 times (10 at home) and conceded on 5 occasions (none at home) and finished as runners-up to FC Porto in Group G.
Arsenal will be without striker Emmanuel Adebayor due to an ongoing hamstring injury, but should start with striker Eduardo up front and Kolo Toure at the back. Whilst Theo Walcott is not fit enough to start, he could likely be used as a substitute from the bench, after making his first appearance since November in Arsenal's weekend FA Cup win over Burnley.

AS Roma seem to suffer when it comes to facing English clubs, having been eliminated from European championships for the past three seasons by English squads. Furthermore, Roma have conceded at least one goal in each of their last 14 matches against clubs from England.
On top of this, Arsenal have not lost in their last four away matches against an Italian side, winning three times and drawing once, and are also unbeaten in their last six meetings against Italian clubs, having won four and drawn two.
The absence of Emmanuel Adebayor will be felt at the front by the Gunners, but the return of Eduardo will boost the side's attacking capabilites, with Theo Walcott also having the potential to make a difference off of the bench.
This match looks to be closely contested, with both teams currently 5th placed in their respective domestic leagues. With the home advantage in their favour and little separating the sides in the first-leg, Roma are the bookmakers' favourites for victory. However, looking at each side's past performances will put the match more into the Gunners' favour than not, and a draw could very well be on the cards at the Stadio Olimpico.
