West Bromwich Albion drew 2-2 at home against Hull City in their last league outing, to follow up a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
In their last five matches, West Brom have won two, drawn one, and lost two, to earn themselves a total of 7 points from a total of 15 offered. WBA have scored 8 and conceded 9 goals in these matches, as they currently sit bottom of the league table in 20th position.
On transfer deadline day, The Baggies secured four-month loan deals for both Paris St Germain's Youssouf Mulumbu and San Lorenzo's Juan Carlos Menseguez. The two will join additional loan signings Marc-Antoine Fortune and Jay Simpson, who were both loaned to West Brom until the end of the season from AS Nancy and Arsenal respectively.
West Bromwich Albion will be without Jonathan Greening (knee), Ishmael Miller (knee), Luke Moore (hamstring), and Neil Clement (knee), although Jonas Olsson and Leon Barnett could both make a return from injury.
On-loan striker Jay Simpson may also be in doubt for the match, after suffering a hamstring strain in West Brom's 4th Round FA Cup loss to Burnley on Tuesday night.

Newcastle United drew 1-1 at home with Sunderland in their last outing, making it six games in a row since their last league victory (2-1 against Tottenham Hotspurs).
In these last six games, Newcastle have drawn two and lost four, gaining only 2 points from a possible 18 available. They scored 6 goals and conceded 15 in these matches, as they currently sit 15th in the league table.
Newcastle have signed former Wigan captain and midfielder Kevin Nolan this week for £4 million on a four-and-a-half year deal, whilst also signing defender Ryan Taylor from Wigan. The Magpies sold Charles N'Zogbia to Wigan as part of this latter deal, and also sold goalkeeper Shay Given to Manchester City earlier in the week.
Newcastle have an extremely lengthy injury list, with key players Joey Barton (metatarsal) and Michael Owen (ankle/foot) both out for up to two months. They are joined by Andy Carroll (ankle/foot), Fabricio Coloccini (ankle/foot), Tamas Kadar (broken leg), Danny Guthrie (hamstring), Claudio Cacapa (knee), Mark Viduka (groin), Habib Beye (knee), and Ignacio Gonzalez (Achilles Tendinopathy). However, Obafemi Martins (groin) could make a return from injury in this match.

Newcastle defeated West Brom 2-1 earlier in the season. However, the form of both sides has changed considerably in recent times.
West Bromwich have found some decent form in their last few matches, recording key victories over the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs and Middlesbrough, with their losses coming at the hands of top league clubs such as Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Manchester United.
Newcastle, on the other hand, have been unable to post a single victory in their last six matches, managing draws against Sunderland and West Ham, and losing to Wigan, Liverpool, Blackburn and Manchester City.
Couple this with Newcastle's loss of starting goalkeeper Shay Given to Man City, as well as crucial players Michael Owen and Joey Barton to injury, and things are currently not looking too good for the Magpies.
Furthermore, West Brom currently hold a decent home record (winning 3 of their last 6), whilst Newcastle's away form has been one of the worst in the Premier League this season, with only a single victory away from home so far.
As such, West Brom will go into this match as slight favourites for victory. New signing Kevin Nolan may alleviate Newcastle's recent injury losses somewhat, as the midfielder is seen as an ideal replacement for Joey Barton, but the entire Magpies squad will have to put in a strong performance in order to come away with any points from this upcoming fixture.
