Everton lost 1-0 away to Manchester United in their last league outing, ending a run of seven straight games without a loss.
In their last eight matches, Everton have won four, drawn three and lost one, to earn themselves 15 points from a possible 24. They have found the back of the net 9 times and conceded 3 goals during this run, as they currently sit 6th on the league ladder.
On the final day of the January transfer window, Everton signed Brazilian striker Jo on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season.
The Toffees will be without Ayegbeni Yakubu (calf) and James Vaughan (knee), although Louis Saha (hamstring) may be hopeful for a return.

Bolton Wanderers defeated Tottenham Hotspurs 3-2 at home in their last league outing, to end a spell of five successive matches without a win.
During their last six matches, Bolton have won one, drawn one, and lost four, earning themselves 4 points from a possible 18 on offer. The Trotters have scored five and conceded ten during this run, as they currently sit 12th in the league table.
Bolton sold midfielder Kevin Nolan to Newcastle United this week, having signed Wolverhampton midfielder Mark Davies last week as a replacement.
The Trotters are still without Gavin McCann (ankle/foot) and Ricardo Vaz Te (knee) on long-term injuries, but Johan Elmander, Joey O'Brien and Nicky Hunt all look hopeful for a return after recent injury spells.

Everton defeated Bolton 2-0 in the corresponding fixture last season, and followed this up with a 1-0 victory at Reebok Stadium earlier this season.
In spite of losing their last match to Manchester United, Everton are currently in great overall form, with Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta in particular shining for the Toffees. The addition of striker Jo to the squad could also put to rest any concerns regarding the team's attacking capabilities, if manager David Moyes can help the Brazilian find his form in the Premier League.
Bolton, on the other hand, are currently performing quite poorly, with only 3 wins from their last 10 matches. The loss of former captain Kevin Nolan will also prove to be a massive blow for the Trotters, and will do little to improve their chances here.
In spite of Everton's home form this season leaving something to be desired for the squad, and Bolton's away form currently stronger than their home form, Everton's strong performances and overall superiority of late, combined with the new attacking addition to their squad, should make them comfortable favourites for victory in this encounter.
