Odds, Betting Tips and Online Football Preview
Sunday 12th September 2010,
St Andrews
English Premier League Football
Kick-Off: 16:00

It was a busy end to the transfer window for Roy Hodgson, as he saw Javier Mascherano's protracted move to Barcelona finally completed, and oversaw the signings of Raul Meireles, Paul Konchesky and Christian Poulsen.
All three could play in this Liverpool vs Birmingham match, as the former Fulham boss looks to stamp his authority on the Anfield side and build on their start of four points from three games.
A workmanlike win over West Brom last time out didn't get the pulses racing, but is the kind of result that typified Hodgson's spell at Fulham and the Reds are likely to relish a battle at St. Andrews against a physical Birmingham side.
Fernando Torres is now back to full fitness and is likely to start upfront after scoring a fine volley against the Baggies.

One win and two draws represents a solid start to Birmingham's second season in the Premier League, although Alex McLeish was furious that the Blues threw away a two goal lead against ten man Bolton last time out.
It was a busy deadling day at St. Andrews with Aliaksandr Hleb joining on a season long loan from Barcelona, with Jean Beausejour and Martin Jiranek also joining the club.
Hleb and Beausejour are likely to offer more support to lone striker Cameron Jerome as the Blues look to score more goals and build on their impreccable defensive record.
Their form at St. Andrews last season was impeccable and they will be looking to build on an opening home win against Sunderland with another positive result against Liverpool.

St. Andrews is no longer an easy ground to visit for anyone, but Liverpool are unlikely to be the soft touch that they were on the road last season, thanks to Hodgson's intervention.
Birmingham's back four of Stephen Carr, Roger Johnson, Scott Dann and Liam Ridgewell have worked wonders since the Blues' promotion however, and provide the platform for an extremely solid side, to which Hleb is hoping to bring some much needed flair.
Both of last season's meetings between the two sides ended in draws (2-2 at Anfield and 1-1 at St Andrews), and whilst Liverpool will go into this match as favourites, another draw may well be on the cards.
Prediction: Birmingham 1 - 1 Liverpool
