Things couldn't have started much better for Chelsea, after three consecutive wins without conceding a goal have left the Blues all alone at the Premier League's summit.

Consecutive 6-0 victories over West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic on the first two weekends set Carlo Ancelotti's men up nicely and they followed that up with a comfortable 2-0 win over Stoke City.

Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka have started the season on fire and are likely to provide a constant threat to a leaky West Ham defence who have shipped nine goals in their first three games, whilst Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda also provide a goal threat from midfield providing both are fit for this Chelsea vs West Ham match..

Paulo Ferreira is likely to keep his place at right back with Branislav Ivanovic ruled out due to a back injury, while new signing Ramires made his debut against Stoke and may come into the midfield for the Blues.

West Ham

It's been a difficult start to the season for Avram Grant and West Ham, as they find themselves marooned to the bottom of the Premier League without a point, although a late goal did see them advance in the Carling Cup at the expense of Oxford United.

Whilst it was unlikely they were going to get anything from Old Trafford, abject defeats to Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers are likely to pose real cause for concern for the Hammers.

Hanging onto key men Scott Parker and Matthew Upson is likely to give the club a boost, whilst new signing Lars Jacobsen may slot into the side at right back.

Football Match Prediction

Top meets bottom at this early stage, and these two London rivals couldn't have had more contrasting fortunes in their first three Premier League games this season.

When the two teams met last season, the Blues thrashed the Hammers 4-1 at Stamford Bridge, but the reverse fixture ending in a 1-1 draw. The latter result, however, looks unlikely to repeat itself this time around even with West Ham's home advantage.

Chelsea have been playing some irresistable football whilst West Ham have been shipping goals at an alarming rate, meaning that Avram Grant's side are almost certain to struggle with the attacking threat posed by Ancelotti's side.

It'd be a real shock if Chelsea didn't win this one comfortably.
