Football Preview and Prediction, Manchester United vs Liverpool Odds and Betting Tips.
Manchester United
Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson says he will not make the “mistake this time” of choosing an understrength side for an FA Cup third-round clash following last season’s shock exit to then League One side Leeds United.
The 69-year-old has insisted he will select his strongest available side for Man United’s Sunday showdown with Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The Premier League table-toppers crashed to a third-round defeat for the first time with Fergie in charge since his Old Trafford arrival in 1986 – and he doesn’t want a repeat as he aims for a first FA Cup final success since 2004.
The Scot hopes to start rested duo Edwin van der Sar and Rio Ferdinand, as well as Wayne Rooney (ankle) – all of whom missed Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Stoke.
But John O’Shea (calf), Paul Scholes (groin) and Antonio Valencia (ankle) miss out.

Liverpool
Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson can’t even get a break with a lower-league side to face in the FA Cup.
With his team having lost 3-1 at Blackburn on Wednesday, Hodgson hopes “the next result is a better one and hopefully wipes away the memory” of that shocking defeat at Rovers.
But he’ll be shown little sympathy at Old Trafford for the early afternoon kick-off.
Hodgson will be missing Raul Meireles (ankle), Jamie Carragher (shoulder) and Jay Spearing (ankle).
Prediction
The rivals have met 15 times in the world’s oldest cup, with Manchester United having eight wins to Liverpool’s three.
But that counts for nothing and the Red Devils, although still not firing on all cylinders, ought to have too much for a struggling Reds.
Manchester United – Liverpool Prediction: 3 – 1.
